When I first joined Halmi, the branding consisted of a logo, wordmark, body typeface, and recurring gradient. By imagining, collaborating, and creating with founder Hannah Bae, I expanded the visual world of Halmi to speak through energetic typography, customized characters, and a fresh design style that bridges tradition with innovation.

Celebrating the diverse landscape, music, and people of the San Francisco Bay Area, this identity is full of unique personalities. The posters use collage as their core metaphor for the festival through contrasting typefaces and hand-cut images, brought to life with breezy and energetic motion.
